IVF success stories after recurrent miscarriage and multiple failures

IVF Success Stories First Try – Case study

Meet Rajesh (38) and Priya (35), a couple from Mumbai who had been trying to conceive for over 11 years of their marriage. Conception was not a problem in their case. The couple was concerned about the multiple miscarriages and the history of abortion they had faced earlier.

The history of repeated implantation failures was emotionally and financially draining. Even after consulting multiple doctors; and trying numerous IVF and IUI cycles, they were unsuccessful.

With the hope of having a baby on their own, Rajesh and Priya then decided to visit Progenesis Fertility Center, which offered advanced IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatments with high success rates.

Upon their first visit to the IVF center, the couple underwent a thorough case evaluation. This thorough in-depth case evaluation helped understand their problem from the root.

Mrs. Priya had a thin endometrium, which made it difficult for the embryos to implant and fully grow in the uterine environment.

Dr. Sonali Malgaonkar, Senior Fertility Consultant at Progenesis Fertility Center explains thin endometrial lining can usually be due to low estrogen levels. In Priya’s case, the thin endometrial lining was the reason for the couple’s previous miscarriages and numerous failed IUI and IVF cycles. Certain medications, surgeries, and advanced fertility techniques can definitely help deal with these conditions”.

She further adds, “Our team of experts at Progenesis, comprising experienced doctors, counselors, and lab technicians, came up with a detailed plan to address Priya’s thin endometrium issue. Multiple fertility procedures were initiated, including a hysteroscopy procedure.”

Hysteroscopy Procedure:  Hysteroscopy Procedure is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows doctors to examine the inside of the uterus. This helps diagnose and treat problems in the uterus or uterine cavity.

Along with this advanced IVF Procedures like LAH, Blastocyst transfer, and hysteroscopy with metroplasty were also utilized.

Laser-Assisted Hatching (LAH): Laser-Assisted Hatching (LAH) is recommended in cases where the outer layer of the embryo is too thick. This hinders the process of embryo hatching and implantation. LAH technique used in the IVF process improves the chances of successful embryo implantation. The procedure uses a laser that helps to thin the outer layer of the embryo (zona-pellucida). This technique facilitates the embryo’s hatching and allows it to implant successfully into the uterine lining.

Blastocyst Transfer: Blastocyst transfer is a technique used in the IVF process where a fertilized embryo is cultured in the laboratory for five to six days until it reaches the blastocyst stage. This technique helps transfer the healthiest embryos, lowers the risk of multiple pregnancies, and gives higher success rates.

Hysteroscopy With Metroplasty: Hysteroscopy with metroplasty is a surgical procedure used in IVF (in vitro fertilization) to correct certain uterine abnormalities that can affect a woman’s ability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term. This is a cavity enhancement procedure and can improve the chances of a successful IVF pregnancy.

Our team at Progenesis did not just stop there, they even utilized the most effective technique called PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma): PRP technique involves injecting the patient’s own blood plasma into the uterus to promote healing and regeneration of the endometrium.

After months of preparation, the transfer was finally done. Rajesh and Priya eagerly waited for the results, hoping and praying that this time, they would finally have a positive pregnancy test. And to their great joy, they did. The couple was finally pregnant, and this time, the IVF pregnancy was healthy and progressing as it should.

Rajesh and Priya’s story was not an easy one, but their IVF success story in India is a testament to the power of perseverance, hope, and the support of a compassionate and skilled medical team.

The story of Rajesh and Priya is one of our finest and most inspiring IVF success stories in India. Team Progenesis is glad to be a part of their fertility journey.

It is important to remember that infertility is just a condition that can be treated. There is help available, and success is possible, even after multiple IVF failures and miscarriages.
