Fellowship Course Details

Course Name: Fellowship in Andrology

Fellowship at Progenesis Fertility Center provides a state-of-the-art experience in reproductive medicine offering all of the most modern andrological procedures presently available.

Eligibility for Admission

The eligibility standards and regulations shall be set by the Academic Board of Progenesis Fertility Center and can be modified based on their preference. These criteria are as follows.

About Andrology Fellowship Program

This Andrology Fellowship program is designed to provide a foundation for reproductive microsurgery, innovation, and medicine in the male reproductive space.

All areas of training in the fellowship program are covered under supervision. By the end of the program, the candidate will be able to evaluate semen and its properties and elaborate on semen preparation for various ART procedures.

It is expected that each candidate will become proficient in the management of patients and their reports

Course Objective

This course aims to provide basic knowledge in semen analysis and semen preparation techniques.
Hands-on practical experience will enable the candidate to understand techniques and confidently execute the same.

Methodology of Andrology Training

Introduction to Andrology lab (entry, instrumentation, procedures, documentation)
Semen collection (patient counseling, container labeling, sample receiving)
Semen analysis observations.
Laboratory set up.
Equipment handling.
Media handling.
Semen collection, delivery, and method of collection.
Macroscopic examination.
Microscopic examination for count and motility.
Sperm morphology slide observation.
Sperm freezing.
Sperm preparation techniques.
Knowledge of recent advances in male infertility.

Educational Requirements

Freshers who have passed and obtained a degree in Msc Microbiology, Zoology, Bi-Technology.

Selection of Candidates

The Academic Admissions Committee shall select the candidates for the Fellowship Programme in a fair and transparent manner.

Duration of Course

The duration of the Fellowship Program is 6 months, out of which 2 months are considered your ‘Probation Period’

Note- All fellow students must mandatorily pass the probation period successfully to continue the fellowship.

Course Fees, Stipend and Follow on Employment

Fees: The fees for the 6-month fellowship course are INR 100000. This fee needs to be remitted by the fellow student at the beginning of the fellowship program.

Certificate: The successful candidates shall receive a provisional certification at the completion of their program.

Follow-on Employment: You will have to pass the exam with a certain % after which you will be appointed as an Andrologist at one of our centers

Requirements

Should show up for work when necessary in an emergency.
Submit necessary periodic reports and other papers to higher authority as per requirements.
Passionate and committed to the field of andrology.
Good coordination with juniors and the clinical team.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
Ability to collaborate and work as a team player in a multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
