Oocyte / Egg Preservation
Egg freezing, also known as mature oocyte cryopreservation, is a method used to save women's ability to get pregnant in the future.
- Ovarian stimulation: First, you will be given some medicines or injectables that help stimulate your ovaries and produce eggs.
- Egg retrieval: Then, our specialists will retrieve the eggs under mild sedation. During this process doctors will insert a transvaginal ultrasound probe into the vagina to locate the follicles, after which a needle will be placed to retrieve the eggs from the follicles.
- Egg Freezing: Retrieved eggs are then frozen to a sub-zero temperature and stored for future use.
Sperm Preservation
Sperm freezing, also known as sperm banking, is a simple and effective method of preserving healthy sperms for future use.
- The semen sample is taken from the male partner
- Then, the sample is checked for sperm quality and quantity
- Later, high-quality sperms are chosen from the sample for the cryopreservation process.
Embryo Preservation
A vital part of most IVF programs, embryo cryopreservation is the process of freezing and storing the lab created embryos.
- First the eggs are combined with the sperms in the laboratory to form embryos
- Later after three to five days of fertilization, these embryos are cryopreserved.
